What is Bursa Pursuit?
Bursa Pursuit is a game that is like the real Malaysian stock market, Bursa Malaysia. In this game, the Participant is given RM250,000 in game money to invest in stocks. The top three players in each category will win the respective prizes.

What is Bursa Pursuit for?
Bursa Malaysia wanted to reintroduce the Malaysian stock market to Malaysians. This game is meant to show people who are new to investing that the stock market is easy to understand.

Who can take part in Bursa Pursuit?
Anyone can take part but to be eligible to win prizes in this Game, you must be a Malaysian with a valid IC or a non-Malaysian with a valid visa to reside in Malaysia. You must also be at least 18 years old at the time of registration.

How long is the game on for?
The game will be open for contest between 1 October, 2007 and 30 November, 2007. Transactions and portfolio value will be tabulated between these 2 dates.

What if I register after 1 October?
You can register anytime before 23 November, 2007 9am to qualify for prizes. Anyone who registers after this time will not qualify to win any prizes even if they have the best portfolio.

How do I compete in the Individual Investor category?
When you register for Bursa Pursuit, you are automatically competing in the Individual Investor category. You may create or join a League as an option.

How do I compete in the Pro Investor category?
You may only compete in the Pro Investor category if Bursa Malaysia sends you a Pro Investor League Invitation Card. The invitee must then register and include their Invitation code and License number in the registration form. To be eligible to win, Pro Investors must have a valid license from the Securities Commission of Malaysia.

What is a league?
A league is a group of people who compete together in the League category. A league must consist of at least 5 people to win a prize but you can make your league as big or as small as you want, just for fun.

Do I have to be in a league?
No, creating or joining a league is completely optional. It is simply a way for you to play this game with your friends against other groups.

How do you measure a League Portfolio Value?
The portfolio value of a league is the average portfolio value of all the league members.

How do you measure a League Winner?
The portfolio value of a league is the average portfolio value of all the league members.
|
How do you measure a Weekly Winner?
A Weekly Winner is a participant who has the largest percentage rise in portfolio value in the span of a week (Monday to Friday).

Can I win both the League and Individual prizes?
If you are the best performer for both categories, you will win both prizes.

If I win, do I get a cash prize?
If you win, the value of the prize money will be deposited in a trading account on trust. This is meant for further investment into the stock market. However, this money can be withdrawn from your trading account.

What is a Trading Pin?
You need to include your trading pin when you make a trade on the bottom of the game page. Your trading pin can be found on the My Game Profile page. Your Trading Pin is Bursa1.
